Welcome to the Programs page of FLi Global! We offer two dynamic and transformative programs designed to empower underrepresented youth in Washington, DC: our School Year Program and our Summer Program. Both programs consist of six weeks of hands-on mentorship and training, culminating in a cultural immersion experience. Below, you will find detailed information about each program.

School Year Program

Overview:

Our School Year Program runs from September to May and is designed to integrate seamlessly with the academic calendar. This program provides continuous support and development opportunities for students alongside their regular school activities.

Program Structure:

Phase 1: Hands-On Mentorship and Training (September - April)

- Weekly Workshops: Interactive sessions focusing on personal development, career exploration, leadership skills, and academic support.

- Individual Mentorship: Personalized guidance from experienced mentors who help students set and achieve their goals.

- Group Activities: Team-building exercises, collaborative projects, and community service initiatives that foster a sense of community and collaboration.

Phase 2: Cultural Immersion Experience (May)

- Domestic/International Travel: A week-long trip to a destination that offers rich cultural experiences and learning opportunities.

- Cultural Activities: Visits to historical sites, museums, cultural institutions, and participation in local customs and traditions.

- Reflection and Debrief: Sessions to reflect on experiences, share insights, and plan how to apply new knowledge and skills in everyday life.

Summer Program

Overview:

Our Summer Program runs from June to August and offers an intensive and immersive experience during the summer break. This program is perfect for students looking to make the most of their summer by engaging in meaningful activities and personal growth.

Program Structure:

Phase 1: Hands-On Mentorship and Training (June - July)

- Daily Workshops: Comprehensive sessions covering a wide range of topics including personal development, career readiness, financial literacy, and social skills.

- Individual Mentorship: One-on-one sessions with dedicated mentors to provide tailored support and guidance.

- Field Trips and Activities:Regular outings and activities that reinforce workshop content and provide practical learning experiences.

Phase 2: Cultural Immersion Experience (August)

- Domestic/International Travel: A week-long immersive trip to a culturally rich destination.

- Cultural Activities: Engagements such as local tours, cultural performances, hands-on activities, and interactions with local communities.

- Reflection and Debrief: Group discussions and activities to process the experience, extract learnings, and develop action plans for the future.

National and International Trips
National Trips: Explore the rich cultural and historical landscapes within the United States. From visiting museums and historical sites to participating in community service projects, our national trips offer a variety of learning opportunities.

International Trips: Experience the world beyond borders. Our international trips take youth to destinations around the globe, providing firsthand exposure to different cultures, languages, and traditions. These journeys aim to foster global citizenship and cultural understanding.

Cultural Immersion

Engage with local communities and participate in cultural activities that provide a deeper understanding of different ways of life.
